APPELLATE ATTORNEY

Seeking an attorney with criminal appellate experience. A recent law graduate with significant clinical appellate experience may be considered. Must be capable of producing high quality work while maintaining a heavy caseload. Excellent writing and advocacy skills required. 

 

Compensation package includes $42,000 salary and a full range of benefits offered by the State of Florida: Health, life, dental, hospitalization & disability insurance plans, vest in Florida Retirement System after 1 year, 4 weeks paid vacation plus 12 paid holidays each year, paid sick leave and more.

 

 

PARALEGAL/INTERVIEWER
Seeking an individual with professionalism for a challenging position in the field of criminal defense law. Work in conjunction with attorneys, disposition specialists, and others providing legal services to our clients. Job involves interviewing clients, often within detention facilities. A Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work or psychology is required. 40-Hour work week, must be available to work some weekends, holidays and evening shift from 4 p.m. through midnight, as needed.

 

Compensation package includes $28,000 salary and a full range of benefits offered by the State of Florida: Health, life, dental, hospitalization, and disability insurance plans, vest in the Florida Retirement System after 1 year, 3 weeks paid vacation plus 12 paid holidays each year, paid sick leave and more.

DISPOSITION SPECIALIST 

Seeking professionals with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field for a challenging position assisting attorneys as part of the defense team. Work includes assessing clients, obtaining records, drafting persuasive alternative sentencing and treatment plans and identifying appropriate educational, substance abuse and mental health placements for clients. Knowledge of juvenile and/or criminal justice system resources and clinical experience preferred.
