The Public Defender for the 18th Judicial Circuit hires many attorneys and law school graduates with certified legal intern qualifications throughout the year. The Public Defender is able to hire out-of-state Bar members as well. Law school graduates and law students are also interviewed throughout the year. The Public Defender hires new attorneys for entry-level positions in the misdemeanor division as well as experienced trial attorneys who start their employment in the felony division.
